Two of our staff members, Sam K. Kollie, Jr and Madam Nora Bowier are currently attending The Africa Regional Learning Exchange on Rights and Conservation in Naivasha, Kenya.

Monday, October 2, 2023 - 12:00
Official opening ceremony of The Africa Regional Learning Exchange on Rights and Conservation at Lake Naivasha Resort in Nakuru County, Kenya

Two members of our staff who were actively working on the TF2 project had the opportunity to participate in the Africa Regional Learning Exchange on Rights and Conservation. The event was held at the Lake Naivasha Resort in Nakuru County, Kenya, and provided them with a unique opportunity to interact with a diverse group of participants from all around the world. During a fascinating field visit, they engaged with indigenous communities, shared their experiences, discussed common issues, and gained deeper insights into the consultative and bottom-up approach to setting an agenda for tenure security.

Sustainable Development Institute (SDI), Foundation for Community Initiatives (FCI), Parley, and presenting their organizations and projects to other participants.

This event proved to be a valuable opportunity for our staff. Through their participation, engagement with indigenous communities during field visits, and sharing experiences with an international cohort at the conference, our team members gained insights that not only enriched their perspectives but also enhanced their ability to contribute meaningfully to the TF2 project.

The collaborative nature of the Exchange not only broadened their skill sets but also fostered a global network that will undoubtedly continue to impact and inspire their work in the realm of rights and conservation.
